Kid’s Connection – Where Kids and the Bible come together! (4yrs. to 5th grade)

Kid’s can participate in their Very Own Church we call Kid’s Connection! Kid’s start off in the main service and then are dismissed to go to their respective classes. (Pre/K-K, 1st - 2nd grade, and 3rd - 5th grade).

There they will play games, do crafts, learn cool bible stories from the Old and New Testaments and occasionally watch an exciting puppet show! Most of all the children will, learn how much God loves them.

Please stop by the class area before church to sign children in and pick up name tags. For security reasons, parents or guardians of Pre-k to 2nd grade will also need to pick up a numbered wrist band that matches their child’s nametag number.

We hope your children will join us for this exciting time full of fun and truth!
Other Children's Ministry Events

Christmas Pageant
Every year we hold a Christmas Pageant that the children work very hard on. Practices are usually in place of Kid’s Connection. The children are encouraged to memorize their lines at home but will have time during practices to do so as well. We hope you can join us for this fun production.

Vacation Bible School
Each summer after school is out and before summer school begins, we hold a VBS. Since we do not have a church building, The Park at Four Seasons lends us their Community Building for the week. Located at University and 113th, it is a great central location to serve most of the Blaine area. We have an exciting week of playing, singing, crafting, drama and much more. Kids even get to star each day in their own PowerPoint Story Slide show. (Photo release forms need to be signed by a parent or guardian for children to participate).

Gym Time
During the summer, we give our hard working teachers a break. Every other week we have Gym Time, where the kids gather after being dismissed from the main service. There they get to expend energy and play basketball, soccer, dodge ball and other great games until the service is over. On the opposite weeks, we hand out activity bags to keep busy hands quiet. These bags are full of bible stories, coloring and activity sheets. Also during the summer we have sermon in the sack, where a child brings something from home in a paper sack, and one of the elders has to give a impromptu sermon about it in front of the whole church!

Small Group Ministries Print E-mail

Small Group We believe in the importance of growing spiritually by connecting with each other. Small groups of 6 to 14 people provide a safe environment to get to know others better, encourage each other, pray for each other, and grow closer to God.

We have nine small groups currently meeting weekly or every other week in different homes. Some groups discuss a book of the Bible together, others discuss topics such as marriage building, parenting, etc from a Biblical perspective. All small groups do community outreaches throughout the year.

He also enjoys doing premarital counseling with couples, which is so important for a successful marriage.

Basic Ceremony and Pre-marital Counseling: Cornerstone Church of Blaine has a strong commitment to helping the community have strong marriages so they provide free pre-marital counseling to any couple with no church connections in the area.

Day before rehearsal: $100.

Ron did a great job officiating our wedding. He was very professional and gave an inspiring talk.. - Josh & Mandy
.Encouraging, helpful and down to earth is how we would describe the marriage counseling from Ron and his wife, Lola. The material and techniques we learned on better methods of communications and resolving differences are allowing us to craft a more successful marriage. What we learned was so meaningful and simple to apply that we continue to refer back to our materials to see how we are doing.. - Mark & Gail
We met with Ron for marriage counseling before we wed. The counseling was a worthwhile experience. He presented us with a lot of key marital advice on communication, conflict resolution, and love. Ron is fun to be around and truly is an understanding pastor with a passion to help others.. - Luke & Tara

Compassion Ministries & Missions Print E-mail

Ministry GraphicWe at Cornerstone strongly believe that as Christians we need to be helping those in need in our community and through out the world. (I John 3:17) "If anyone has material possessions and sees his brother in need but has no pity on him, how can the love of God be in him?" We financially support five local & international compassion organizations. We also volunteer with the local organizations.

Missions: We take the great Commission (Acts 1:8) seriously at Cornerstone by being outreach focused locally, regionally and internationally. 10% of our annual budget goes to missions. We support missionaries through out the world, church planters regionally and short term trips by people in our congregation.
